With the team I was leading, we designed and developed a website and an iOS and Android app for Doce18 Concept House – a unique design, food, entertainment and hospitality destination in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. My role in this project was project lead, manager, designer and engineer. I got the client, designed the web and mobile UIs, built the backend on Amazon Web Services, developed the Android app and managed a team of 4 engineers to develop the web and iOS apps.
During my management responsibilities, I ensured the design and technical specifications were being met by all parties involved, and oversaw the integration of the hotel booking service to the website. I constantly met with our client and integrated their feedback through the development process. We worked with Dôce18 Concept House's marketing team to incorporate their SEO and advertising strategies to the website, ensuring a strong digital presence.

About the client
Dôce18 Concept House is the top destination in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Located at the heart of the town, the two-story project offers customers a luxury shopping and dining experience on its first floor, and a boutique hotel on the second floor, operated by L’Ôtel group. This project was conceived inside the iconic house called Casa Cohen, and it was restored and restructured to allow the creation of a magical space that integrates fashion, design, cuisine and hospitality.
Final words
Dôce18 Concept House was a really complete and interesting product. High luxury brands have different needs so we had to make sure that everything was in their standard. This version of the product portfolio was released in 2017 and it has since been redesigned and re-developed to keep the brand image fresh and allow for an easier maintenance by the internal brand manager. Working with a client with such a complete team was a very rewarding experience and a unique learning opportunity.
